Income of an Indian Uber Driver in Portugal

The driver mentions that the visa process has become quite easy over the last few years. One must ensure that they have adequate knowledge about what they want to do in Portugal and getting the visa becomes easy.

When talking about the kind of income one could expect being an Uber driver in Portugal, the driver confirms that one could earn as much as around €100 (approx Rs 8,000 when converted to INR) per day and can easily save almost half of that. This translates to around Rs 2.4 lakh per month and around 29 lakh per year. This involves regular shifts of around 10-11 hours per day. There are seasons when the base price is increased which means that the number could even be higher.

In order to get a driver’s licence, you must have an Indian driving license that is at least 3 years old. Then you can convert it to a Portuguese driving license easily. But if you don’t have an Indian licence, then it would take a lot of time and money to get a Portugal driving licence made from scratch. Finally, the driver says that it is a great country and one could earn well if one comes through the legal route. He has been living there for 4 years and driving Uber for 1.5 years.
