Lifestyle of an Indian Driver in Canada
This video has been uploaded by Traveling Desi on YouTube. He interviews an experienced Indian truck driver in Canada. Hardeep Singh married a Canadian-born woman in 2015. After completing the migration procedure, he travelled to Canada two years later in 2017. In the beginning, he worked at a company and applied for a driving licence at the same time. The experience of driving in India played a crucial role in him getting the Canadian DL without taking too many classes. He began driving trucks to gain some more experience.

Finally, he bought his own used truck that was a 2012 model and was driven for only 600,000 km. Thereafter, he established a successful career for himself. He drives the truck in the local area and not on long hauls. This is due to the fact that he has his family that he has to take care of. He mentions that for the bachelor, long trips make more sense where they have to be on the road for weeks on end. In those scenarios, the salaries are even more attractive.

Income
Talking about the salary, he mentions that he used to earn around $20-$22 CAD per hour in the very beginning when he used to drive for others. However, after gaining experience and owning the truck, this number has jumped to a rather decent $40-$45 CAD per hour. This roughly translates to around $500 CAD (approx Rs 30,000 INR) per day for a 10-12 hour shift. Therefore, one could expect a monthly salary of $8000-$10,000 CAD (approx Rs 6 lakh INR) per month.
