We keep coming across weird incidents on roads and this latest case of an Indian granny driving her Suzuki Ignis into a shop is the latest example of it. Suzuki makes quite decent cars for the European market when it comes to the safety rating. However, similar cars in India don’t have the exact rating. That is quite unfortunate. For instance, the Suzuki Ignis for the UK has scored 3 stars in the strict Euro NCAP in a regular version and 5 stars with the safety pack. But the one sold in India only got 1 star at the Global NCAP. That could be the reason for its impressive performance in this crash from the UK.

Indian Granny Drives Suzuki Ignis into a Shop
This video comes from Nikhil Rana on YouTube. This channel uploads content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. This time around, a bizarre case has emerged from the UK. As per the information in the video, an old lady drove the Suzuki Ignis into a shop. The exact reason for this is still not clear. It is entirely possible that she must have pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while parking. As a result, the vehicle ended up breaking the glass of the shop. These visuals highlight the entire episode.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in this crash. In fact, the old lady comes out of the car herself. She is able to walk comfortably indicating that she is not hurt at all. The Police have arrived at the scene and they are concerned about the well-being of the occupants first and foremost. But looking at the visuals, it is clear that the vehicle was able to safeguard the old lady quite convincingly. We could credit this performance of the Ignis to its build quality.

What We Think
Unfortunate incidents can happen at any time. It is not possible to prepare for them. That is where the active and passive safety features in the cars come into play. A car with higher safety ratings could be the difference between a minor scratch and a serious injury. Hence, we would advise our readers to invest in safer cars. More importantly, we must get into the habit of following traffic rules thoroughly. Most accidents happen due to drivers not following the protocols. Let us avoid that at all costs and pledge to be responsible drivers.
