Indian Motorcycles has launched the flat-track racers, FTR 1200 S and 1200 S Race Replica in India, with a starting price of Rs 15.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
After unveiling its price back in December last year, Indian has now officially launched the FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica in India. The prices start off at Rs 15.99 Lakhs for the S and Rs 17.99 Lakhs for the Race Replica version.
The bookings have already commenced across Indian dealerships across India and the token amount has been set at Rs 2 Lakhs. The regular FTR 1200 is priced at Rs 14.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom pan India).
Both the bikes use the same 1203cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine, which produces 120 BHP and 112.5 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is offered with three riding modes – Sport, Standard and Rain. Each mode offers a different type of throttle response, stability and traction control and ABS setting as well.

FTR 1200 S is inspired by the championship-winning FTR 750 bike, thus getting all the flat-track racing DNA onboard. It looks a bit like the Scrambler-type roadster as well, with the low-slung seating and a high-set single-piece handlebar.
Features onboard include Bosh Stability Control, Lean-sensitive traction control, a 4.3-inch full digital touchscreen instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, USB port and cruise control.
For suspension, it comes with golden inverted forks at the front and a side-placed adjustable monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by radially-mounted dual-disc brakes at the front a single-disc brake at the back, with customizable ABS.

Further, Indian motorcycles has tied up with Orix India and both the bikes can also be taken on lease. The deliveries are expected to commence soon, as the FTR 1200 is bought in India through the CBU route.
In this price range, you can also get the BMW R Nine T Scrambler and the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC. However, there are no specific rivals for the FTR 1200.
