It is fascinating to see the swanky rides of Indian cricketers but not a lot of them have switched to electric cars just yet.
In the latest development, former Indian cricketer Murali Kartik brought home the bright red MG ZS EV. The ZS EV has been around in the Indian market for a while now. It is positioned toward the premium end of the mass market in the EV space. Nevertheless, it was among the first mid-size electric SUVs in the market after the Hyundai KONA Electric. In fact, MG updated the ZS EV last year to make it even more powerful and feature-packed. Here are the details.

Murali Kartik Buys MG ZS EV
The current commentator and former left-arm spinner announced the news via his Instagram. He is seen posing with the bright red EV. It comes packed with features including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch driver’s digital instrument panel, connected car tech apps to enhance convenience, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, 17-inch machined alloy wheels, wireless charging, heated ORVMs, powered front seats, electronic parking brake and an all-black interior theme.

The cricketer captioned his post as, “Happy to embark on my #ChangeWhatYouCan journey with the MG ZS EV! Looking forward to some electrifying drives and memorable journeys! @mgmotorin”. The only other Indian cricketer that has been seen with an EV is MS Dhoni. He took to social media to share the moments of him with his Kia EV6 as he celebrates with his Chennai Super Kings teammates.

MG ZS EV got more powerful with the last update. Now, it comes powered by a 50.3 kWh battery pack that powers the front wheels. The electric motor outputs a decent 174 PS and 280 Nm of peak power and torque. However, the main highlight of the ZS EV is the 461 km (WLTP) range which is what most people would love. The top speed of the electric SUV is limited to 140 km/h. The prices of the MG ZS EV range from Rs 22.98 lakh to Rs 27 lakh, ex-showroom. How did you like the MG ZS EV of Murali Kartik?
