With superbikes now getting popular in the country, the police are now actively cracking down on illegal bikes and very often stop such bikes for routine checks. But many of the policemen also have a strong affection for such bikes. Having said this, two cops from Kerala recently shared photographs with their newly acquired superbikes. One of these is a Kawasaki Z800 while the other is a Triumph Daytona 675. Here are all the details you need to know about these.

Kerala Cop Owns Many Performance-Focussed Motorcycles
While the real identity of the officer who goes by the name Copsrider on Instagram is not known, he did upload photos with many bikes on his personal account. He, along with his partner in police uniform, however, was only seen once in a single photo where both were posing with Daytona 675. One of the two Daytona bikes is white in colour while the other is black in colour. Photos with other bikes like Honda CBR 600RR, Yamaha R 15 V3, Honda CBR 650F and Honda CBR 150F can also be seen on the same Instagram account. The fellow policeman seen in the picture goes by the name Cijo George and owns a Kawasaki Z800 motorcycle. This model of Kawasaki has been discontinued in the Indian market now and was priced from Rs 7.68 lakh in the market.
The performance-focussed motorcycle features an 806 cc, in-line four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a peak power and torque output of 113 bhp and 83 Nm respectively. It comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and boasts supreme reliability and performance. Furthermore, it also boasts aggressive styling and a strong road presence while it gets a communicative chassis with 41mm inverted front forks, stepless rebound damping and preload adjustability but misses out on ABS braking system as a safety feature

Triumph Daytona 675 Replaced with Daytona R
Talking about the Daytona 675 seen in the picture, it is a regular model which was discontinued in 2018. It gets a 675cc 3-cylinder engine which is capable of generating 118 bhp and 70 Nm of peak torque. The price of the bike starts from Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom) in the records of that time. The Daytona R replaced the original iteration of the bike. Itwas launched as a replacement model in the market.For those wondering, the Daytona R is powered by a 675 cc engine, 3 cylinder engine that produces 126 bhp and 74 Nm of peak torque. Before being discontinued, the bike was sold at a starting price of Rs 12.39 L (ex-showroom, Delhi).
