Kia introduced the Sonet compact SUV in India in 2020, but there has not been a substantial upgrade ever since.
The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift model has been spotted testing in the native market of South Korea. Sonet is an impressively successful product in our market ever since its launch. It, essentially, represents a much more luxurious alternative for people looking for a compact SUV. It has contributed immensely to the unprecedented success of Kia Motors in India. Crossing the 8 lakh cumulative sales milestone in under 4 years is a testament to how well consumers have welcomed the Korean auto giant.

Kia aims to dominate the segment and attract new buyers by updating the already enticing compact SUV. Although this model is heavily camouflaged, we can deduce a few design cues judging from its relatively identical silhouette. At the front, the bonnet is upright, but the front profile is set to get some minor cosmetic updates, including redesigned headlamp cluster, radiator grille, and bumper.

One could see the new alloy wheel design on the sides, which is a kind of update facelifts models usually carry. The wheel arches are quite pronounced, and the roof rails are visible too. The side pillars could be blacked out to give it a modern appearance. At the rear, a slight glimpse of the taillamps is displayed. It would likely continue to get a light bar connecting the taillamps, just as on the current model. Overall, the Kia Sonet facelift will aim to attract new customers with some design alterations.
