The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe was revealed last month. At the ongoing 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the first preview of the SUV took place. The company confirmed new Diesel, Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid options. The XL variant offers 7 seats.
Hyundai Motors has been partial to Indian customers for not offering the safety and environment-friendly technology that otherwise are available on the same models elsewhere. If you compare a Hyundai Santa Fe from the USA to the one in India, the latter lacks about half of the features. The Hyundai Santa Fe in USA retails for $30,850 (INR 20.02 lakh) to $39,550 (INR 25.7 lakh). Much to blame are the taxes we have to pay for these “luxuries”. Hyundai showcased the Santa Fe at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The officials confirmed a new diesel engine, a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid variant. Read along to know more.

The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe is expected might be offered only in the seven-seat configuration with the 2.2-litre diesel engine. This is the XL variant that comes loaded with all-wheel drive. The brand-new 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine is quite powerful and is expected to deliver 12-13 kmpl. The Hybrid is an all-together new story though. The company hasn’t released official figures but we believe the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid will share its powertrain with the Ioniq hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
