In a shocking video online, a man is seen dancing out of an auto rickshaw, who hits a cyclist. Unfortunately, India is home to some of the most dangerous roads in the world. This video is a perfect example of why that is so. People flout the traffic rules and common sense brazenly. That is what causes most accidents on our roads. The sad part is that some innocuous people end up getting trapped in such lunacy at times without any fault. That is exactly what transpires here. Let us check out the details.

Idiot Dancing Out of Auto Rickshaw Hits a Cyclist
This post comes from timesnow on Instagram. As per the information from this news report, the man is evidently performing a questionable activity by hanging off the side of the auto-rickshaw. It is even more astounding because he is doing this on a busy road with no fear of consequences. Someone riding behind this auto records the entire video. Within a matter of seconds, the man hits a cyclist from the back. Due to the impact, the cyclist immediately falls in the middle of the road. Thankfully, the biker was not at high speed and was able to apply brakes timely. Otherwise, things would’ve been much worse. The auto rickshaw driver didn’t bother to wait and check on the injured.

As this video went viral, the Traffic-in-Charge and Assistant Commissioner of Traffic Police were asked to investigate the matter. Using the video as evidence, they apprehended the accused driver and seized the auto rickshaw. The auto belongs to a certain Shiva, a resident of Ghaziabad. He was traced by traffic personnel of the TPR Circle. The Police official slapped a challan for driving recklessly, operating without a license and violating the relevant Motor Vehicle Act sections. This is a positive case where the authorities were able to locate and apprehend the miscreants in a short duration of time.

We keep reporting such incidents almost every day. That is the most tragic aspect of our roads. While the infrastructure is expanding rapidly and new policies and laws are being devised frequently, there are still millions of people who just refuse to follow these protocols. What’s bizarre is the fact that they don’t have any reason to do so either. They are just performing such stunts to entertain themselves or to post their activities on social media platforms to gain followers. It is high time we start reporting them to the authorities so that our judicial system is able to deal with them appropriately.
