The prime competition of the Hyundai Verna is currently Honda City which received a mild makeover recently. This includes several design tweaks and features. The company also added a new mid-spec variant for the full-hybrid version. Other than Honda City, the best-selling cars in the midsize sedan segment are Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia. The European cars secured third and fourth positions by selling 1,792 and 1,574 units, respectively. Both cars are based on the MQB A0-IN platform and feature turbocharged petrol engines.

All-new Hyundai Verna Specs
The fourth-generation Hyundai Verna is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that offers 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. For transmission, it is paired with a 6-speed manual and CV gearbox. The all-new model also comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine option that offers 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque. It comes with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. Hyundai has dropped the diesel powertrain.

The Hyundai Verna 2023 got a complete makeover inside-out. This includes a futuristic design language. It features sharper edges, deep creases, and a new parametric grille. On the front, the company has added a lightbar connecting both headlamps. The top-end variants get a connected lightbar in their tail lamps. Also, there is a difference between Turbo and Non-Turbo variants. For example, the turbocharged petrol variants get blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake calipers.

On the inside, the latest generation Hyundai Verna gets heated seats and a sporty two-spoke steering wheel. There is also a dual-functioning panel for auto AC and the audio system. While the turbocharged versions feature an all-black color scheme with red highlights on the AC vents, the naturally-aspirated variants come with dual-tone black/ beige dashboards and seats. The 2023 fourth-generation Hyundai Verna comes with a starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). The top-end variant is priced at Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).
