However, this feature has been given a miss on the top-spec SX(O) variant which is almost shocking. On the side, the chrome door handles stand out along with the chrome belt underneath the window line and sharp creases for a sophisticated elegant look. Hyundai Verna- Engines, Prices and Rivals
The Hyundai Verna comes with a whole host of engine-gearbox combination options including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 115 PS and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 115 PS and 250 Nm and a powerful 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo petrol making 120 PS and 171 Nm. The naturally aspirated petrol engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or CVT, the 1.5-litre diesel comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic and the 1.0-litre turbo petrol comes with a sole 7-speed DCT transmission. The prices of the Hyundai Verna start at Rs 9.19 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 15.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The rivals of the Hyundai Verna include Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Toyota Yaris and VW Vento.
