This has to be India’s first Hyundai Verna with an air suspension. It is insane to witness what aftermarket car modification houses are able to achieve these days. They have access to technology, knowledge and spare parts. As a result, they can transform any car according to the desires of the owners. This is a prime example of that. Hyundai Verna is a popular mid-size sedan. It has been a volume churner for the Korean auto giant in our market for years now. Let us take a look at the details of this unique iteration of the Verna.

In the second phase of the video, the YouTuber drives it on the road. The shock-absorbing characteristics of the car are greatly enhanced after installing air suspension. However, during highway rides and at high speeds, there is a bounciness to the overall ride. That is an inherent trait of the air suspension. Hence, one must be careful while driving it. Also, the owner mentions that if the road conditions in your area are bad, you should avoid going for air suspension. He spent Rs 1.7 lakh on the air suspension. In fact, he has splurged a total of Rs 7 lakh on all modifications including alloy wheels, a front grille, front and rear splitter, side body cladding, a boot spoiler and a performance booster.

What We Think
While aftermarket modifications are great, you must take into consideration the legality of it all. Most car modifications and customizations are illegal as per Indian Motor Vehicle laws. If the Police catch you with customizations, changing the stock configuration of a car, you will receive heavy fines. In fact, they can even ask you to remove the modifications. Hence, it is always a good idea to consult the local RTO first. Make sure to perform only those customizations which they allow. In this way, you won’t have any issues with the authorities later on. However, if you just want such cars to be a passion project which you won’t use on roads, then it is fine.
