Hyundai Venue waiting period rises high due to the competitive pricing and the long list of the features the baby SUV has to offer.
Hyundai latest entry to the sub-4-compact SUV segment with the Venue has created a stir in the Indian markets. Launched at a competitive price of Rs 6.5 lakh, the Venue take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford Ecosport.
Initially, we told you that the Hyundai Venue crossed 20,000 bookings and now further reports suggest that the waiting period for the same can be up to 2 months. Our dealership sources in Delhi and Mumbai told us that the waiting period can be in between 1.5 months – 2 months, depending upon the variant and engine specification.
We sure can tell you the reason behind the extensive waiting period for the Hyundai latest product, Venue. The long list of features along with its aggressive pricing undercuts most of its rivals.

Hyundai Venue is available in a total of 13 variants and 10 colour options. The baby SUV is available in three engine options – two petrol and one diesel engine. a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor churning 120 bhp with a healthy torque of 170 Nm. It is available with a choice of 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT.
The second in line is the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor on which power figures are limited to 84 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated with only 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-litre diesel engine produces 89 bhp with 200 Nm of torque and gets 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The dealers have also said that the new turbocharged petrol engine is the most popular in demand followed by the 1.4-litre diesel engine. The naturally aspirated is seen in less demand.
Hyundai Venue features list is quite premium and far ahead than what its rivals offer. For starters, it comes with BlueLink Technology. The highlight of this feature can be used to Remote Start/Door Lock/Climate Control/Horn/Light Control/, Real-Time Traffic Information, Destination transfer and much more.

Other features like electric sunroof, automatic climate control, Air Purifier, Wireless Charging, Voice Command, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also be seen on the Venue.
Six Airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and Vehicle Stability Program, Hill Descent, ISOFIX mount child seats and rear parking sensors are some of the safety features in the Hyundai Venue.
Hyundai Venue follows split headlight design with LED daytime running light on the top and projector headlamps at the lower part of the bumper. The car sits on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and gets the signature cascading front grille. The prices for the same starts at Rs 6.50 lakh for the base trim and the top end variant will set you around Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
