Hyundai is soon going to launch an all-new sub compact SUV, the Venue in the Indian market. It will be launched on the 21st of May this year. With this launch, the South Korean automaker will have two compact SUV in its portfolio i.e. the Creta and the Venue, though at different price points. The Hyundai Venue is going to get two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol engine portfolio will consist of a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged unit along with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder one. Former is good for 120 BHP of power while the latter is good for 83 BHP of power. The diesel engine is a 1.4-litre unit. This is good for 90 BHP of power.
Transmission options will include a DCT for the 1.0-litre petrol unit along with a manual transmission. The 1.2-litre engine is going to get a 5-speed manual transmission. While the 1.4-itre engine is going to get a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Hyundai Creta on the other hand comes with one petrol engine and two diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.6-litre unit. The diesel engine is a 1.6-litre engine, while there is a 1.4-litre on offer as well. The petrol engine comes with 6-speed manual transmission along with a 6-speed torque converter unit.
The 1.6-litre diesel engine is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 1.4-litre diesel engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
