Engine Options
There will be two petrol engines – a 1.0L, turbocharged, 3 cylinder engine and the 1.2L, 4-cylinder Kappa engine. The 1.2L Kappa engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.0L, turbo petrol engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 1.0L engine is capable of producing 120 bhp and 172 Nm of torque while the 1.2L, Kappa engine produces 83 bhp and 115 Nm of torque.
There will also be a 1.4L, turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel engine which will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. This engine produces 84 bhp and 220 Nm of torque. With three engine and transmission options, the Hyundai Venue is available in a wide range of configuration.
Exterior
The Venue sure does look like a handsome SUV. It has perfect proportions and also sports Hyundai latest design language. The dual cluster headlamps have been executed very well and it has a proper upright SUV stance with some rugged body claddings and faux skid plates on the bumpers. Interiors
Like most Hyundai’s, the interiors are very well laid out. An 8-inch floating infotainment screen takes center stage on the dashboard, flanked by the AC vents on either side. A band of shortcut buttons sit below the infotainment screen with the climate control dials right at the bottom. The display for the climate controls have been very smarty integrated within the dials itself. The overall layout of the dashboard is very pleasing and ergonomically, very convenient. Quality of materials used are also quite good and the cabin exudes a premium feel.
Trims and Features
The Venue will essentially be available in four different trim levels – E, S, SX, and the SX(O) – with 13 variants to choose from. The Venue comes pretty well loaded, even with the base variant. However, it is the ‘S’ and the ‘SX’ variants that come fully loaded to the brim with all the necessary gadgets and luxuries you would want in your car.
The infotainment system features Blue-link technology which can be accessed via Smartphone. Maps and navigation services, built-in apps, voice assistant are some of the features. Furthermore, the car will also get an e-SIM based connectivity.
