Hyundai has unveiled the sketches of its upcoming compact SUV, Venue. It will be globally unveiled at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, on 17th April. It will be available in the global as well as Indian market.
Hyundai Venue is scheduled to launch in India on May 21. The first design sketches of the SUV are out and it definitely looks premium. Venue is India’s first connected SUV, with many premium and practical features onboard.
Till now, a proper clear photo of the SUV has not been leaked. It is often spotted testing with heavy camouflage. With these sketches, we get a clear idea of how the Hyundai Venue will look like.

At the front, you can see Hyundai’s cascading chrome grille which came on the current-gen Creta. The Venue gets dual-headlamps setup, a sharper unit with turn indicators just below the bonnet and the main headlamp below it with squared DRLs.
The wheel arches certainly look big, portraying a dominance over the road. We expect it to be a fusion of the boxy SUV character with some sharp curves. The alloy wheels are the same one which we have spotted occasionally.
At the side, Blacked-out A-pillars and roof rails are also seen. The rear part of Hyundai Venue gets square LED tail lamps and blinkers/stop light on the bumper. The rear portion looks a bit similar to the Hyundai Tucson.

Interestingly, Hyundai has also shared sketches of how the cabin of Hyundai Venue will look. The dashboard looks clean with a dual-tone shade. The centre console does not look clustered at all.
The touchscreen instrument console of Venue looks decent and considerably large. Below the console, you can spot the chunky climate control knobs. There seems to be another knob near the gearbox.
Hyundai Venue will be available in three engine guises – 1.4 Litre petrol and diesel engines with a 1.0 Litre Turbo-petrol engine. The turbocharged engine will be paired to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
