The Hyundai Tucson facelift comes with subtle cosmetic changes, more equipment on the interiors and BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines as well.
Hyundai has confirmed that the Tucson facelift will be launched in India on February 5, on the very first day of the Auto Expo. Hyundai India MD Seon Seob Kim had already confirmed that prices for the Tucson facelift would be revealed at Auto Expo 2020. The Tucson is Hyundai’s flagship product in India and has been on sale in the country since 2016 in its current third-generation guise.
This will be mid-cycle facelift for the Tucson and one of the most important updates to the new Tucson will be on the styling front. The new updates bring the look of the Tucson a lot closer to other newer Hyundais. The updates are subtle and you might even miss it in first glance. However, if you look closely, you will see a larger version of Hyundai’s ‘cascading grille, new headlamps which are full LED and also get new LED DRLs and new bumpers with a revised fog lamp housing.
The tail gate has also been slightly revised and it gets new tail lamps as well. A new design for the alloy wheels will be a part of the mix too. All these exterior changes together add up to make significant difference on the SUV and makes it look a lot more modern and upmarket.
While specific details about the interiors of the Hyundai Tucson facelift are still yet to surface, you can expect at least similar levels of luxury and technology as the recently launched Elantra facelift, if not greater. A new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an updated interface will be on offer with higher-spec variants of the new SUV, as will the Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite, a 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control.

There’s also a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine which produces 185 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Both have 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, though only the diesel comes with the option of an all-wheel-drive system.
