The Hyundai Styx has been one of the most anticipated product launches of the year 2019. We first saw this SUV in its concept iteration at the 2016 Auto Expo where it was named as the Carlino. Hyundai has already commenced testing this vehicle on Indian roads. Going by these spy shots, we can clearly deduce that the exterior design of this vehicle will be somewhat identical to the current generation Hyundai Creta.

That said, on the whole, the Styx is going to be based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. And hence, in sync with some of its latest models like the Kona and the Palisade, it is also going to get headlamps placed below the Led daytime running lights, adjacent to the fog-lamps.
The engine specifications of the Hyundai Styx are still a topic of speculation. However, we do know the fact that it is going to launch in both petrol as well as diesel engine configurations. The petrol engine is going to be a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder unit which is going to get a turbocharger with power output falling close to the 110 BHP mark. The diesel engine is likely to be a 1.5-litre unit. Both these engines are likely to initially launch in BS-IV guise and switch to BS-VI guise later on.
