The New York Auto Show is adding up more and more cars to its cart and the latest is the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo. In a recent post we had also informed you about the 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to be showcased which will share the stage with the Turbo variant.
Specifications of 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo
The car is being called as “Very Delicious” by Hyundai itself pointing at the potential the car possesses. The most unique feature of this car is the Power to Curb Weight ratio which makes this car even more impressive. The curb weight of this car is relatively low (nearly 3200 pounds) making the car more responsive when throttled.
The current V-6 engine coming installed with the regular Sonata will be replaced by a 2.0-liter Turbo CRDI, 4 cylinder engine generating an enormous 250 horsepower. But is it impressive according to you ? I guess not, reason being most of the mid sized sedans present in the market develop more than 260 horsepower and this car does not stand a fair chance in front of them or does it? Well to inform you the car beats its foes when Fuel Economy is considered. According to officials the company has tried everything to reach the benchmark of 35 MPG set by the regular Sonata and with such a combination of a powerful engine and better mileage the car will make its way through.
