Hyundai has been quite proactive in the small car and sedan segment for a long time and even tried making the Indian customers familiar with its SUV line up comprising of Hyundai Terracan and Hyundai Tucson but unfortunately for the brand nothing seemed to work out.
Now after setting some impressive benchmarks in the automotive industry with cars like Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20 the brand is focusing on the its SUV market share and will launch the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe in the Indian market in October 2010.
Hyundai’s market strategy is going to gain pace as the company has announced of introducing 2 to 3 new models every year which clearly tells how tough the competition is going to get. The firm wishes to take its success to an unmatched level.
Hyundai Motors chief executive officer, Mr H.W. Park, at the launch of the upgraded version, NextGen i10, stated “Next month we will be launching Santa Fe. We will continue to launch 2/3 models a year and open up new dealerships,”
Arvind Saxena, Director (sales and marketing), Hyundai India, added “The company has also been upgrading their popular models like Santro, Accent, i20 and Verna to boost sales,” He further hinted of an ultra low cost car which is under development in Korea.
