Hyundai QXi (Carlino) compact SUV is reportedly launching in India in first-half of 2019. For the first time, its interiors have been spotted.
Hyundai is planning to bring its new upcoming compact SUV in India. It is reported to launch in India in 2019. The upcoming SUV will rival squarely against Maruti Vitara Brezza and upcoming Mahindra XUV 300.
The testing of Hyundai QXi (Carlino) has already begun in its home turf. Many spy shots of the SUV have come up recently. The global launch is still under development, following which it will come in the Indian market.
The dashboard of Hyundai QXi (Carlino) cannot be seen in the spy shots. However, we see that it gets some premium styling bits. It gets all-black interior interiors with adjustable front headrest and centre armrest. The rear legroom looks pretty spacious too.

There are chances that Hyundai QXi (Carlino) might get interiors from Hyundai Creta. So, there are chances of dual-tone black and beige interiors.
Hyundai sub-compact SUV is reportedly going to get many segment first features. It might get an 8-inch touchscreen infotaintment system, electric sunroof, 7-airbags and cruise control on the top-end variants.
Safety features onboard will include dual-front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and speed alert reminders as standard fitment. Higher-end variants might get 7-airbags, EBD, ESP and much more.
Hyundai QXi (Carlino) might feature new petrol and diesel engines. Rumours suggest that Hyundai is developing a new 1.5 Litre diesel engine. Moreover, the new engine will be much more fuel efficient than ever.

The petrol engine might be taken from Hyundai i20 Elite. So, there are chances of a 1.2 Litre VTVT petrol engine. The engine produces 83 BHP and 114 Nm of peak torque. Although, the figures might be tweaked so as to fit in with the competition.
The petrol engine will come with the 5-speed manual setup and CVT gearboxes. The diesel might use a 6-speed manual gearbox without the option of Automatic Gearbox.
Rumours suggest that the new Hyundai compact SUV will come with Electric powertrain. The powertrain might be undevelopment for the global markets as well.
We expect the Hyundai compact SUV to be priced at the higher end of the compact SUV pricing range. So our price expectations range from 7 Lakhs to Rs 11 Lakhs.

As said, it will mainly compete with Vitara Brezza and XUV300. Other rivals will include Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
