Hyundai India has set a monthly target of 10,000 units of Venue. That combined with the sales of Creta would make it the largest SUV maker.
Hyundai Venue was unveiled globally a couple of weeks back, with the India launch scheduled for 21st May. It will be first launched in India and then in the global markets.
It will enter the highly-competitive sub-4 metre compact SUV segment. All of these SUVs are priced affordably and offer decent seating space as well. Nearly 20000-30000 units from this segment are sold monthly.
Hyundai India has planned to fix a target of 10,000 units of Venue for the monthly sales figure. Combining these figures with the monthly sales of Creta, the manufacturer plans to become the largest SUV maker in India.

Currently, Creta records nearly 10000-12000 sale unit every month. So, Hyundai will collectively report 20,000 or more sale units from both its compact SUVs.
In the competition of Venue, we have Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300. As we all know, Vitara is the best-selling SUV currently, clocking nearly 15000 units every month.
With the features that Hyundai sub-compact SUV offers, it can easily achieve great sales figures. The main question is – Will it overtake Vitara Brezza?
Hyundai Venue will be available with three engine options – a 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol, a 1.2 Litre petrol unit and a 1.4 Litre diesel engine. The turbo engine is a newly developed unit.
