Hyundai Palisade, the new premium 7-seater SUV has been unveiled at the LA Motor Show. The SUV will be produced in Korea and be officially launched by 2019.
Hyundai‘s flagship premium 7-seater SUV has finally made debut at the 2018 LA Auto Show. It is an 8-seater premium SUV which as per Hyundai, offers a great ride with performance, comfort and latest features.
Hyundai Palisade sits above Santa-FE in terms of size as well as position. Currently, Santa-Fe is the biggest car in their lineup. Earlier, a 7-seater Hyundai SUV was available in the markets, but it has been a long time now.
The SUV uses a 3.8 Litre V6 dual CVVT petrol engine. The engine produces 291 BHP and 394 Nm of peak torque. For transmission purposes, it uses an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a multi-plate torque converter.

Displaying its off-road capabilities, Hyundai Palisade will come with 2WD as standard with an option of HTRAC 4WD as well. Hyundai plans to make its 7-seater SUV as a formidable off-roader.
Since it’s Hyundai, you can expect many premium features onboard. It gets 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch fully-digital TFT centre instrument cluster, 7 USB slots spread across all the rows, Wireless Charging slot, Two Sunroofs, power folding/unfolding and reclining seats of the third row and all ventilated seats.
Safety features onboard include Smart Cruise Control with Spot and Go, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision avoidance assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Safe Exit Assist and High Beam Assist.

It also comes with 7-airbags, which include 2 in front, 2 on the side, 1 from the driver’s knee and one curtain airbags. The curtain airbags are made large that stretches out from the driver to the third-row seat.
Hyundai Palisade is as premium inside as it is in terms of features. Inside the cabin, it comes with quilted Nappa Leather-covered seats and a dual-tone black-grey dashboard layout. The second row gets touch operation for moving the seat forward or tilting it.
On the exterior, it gets a distinctive LED headlamps set with DRLs, making it stand out on the Hyundai lineup. The new Cascading front grille also comes in this new debutant. The 20-inch alloy wheels are huge, but keep the SUV’s sporty character intact.

As of now, there is no report or notification about Hyundai Palisade coming to India. If it comes to India by 2020-21, it will be priced easily above Rs 40 Lakhs. In this price, it will go against Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, Mercedes Benz GLC and BMW X1.
