Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is commemorating the first successful year of its inspiring “Samarth by Hyundai” initiative. Launched last year, this program aims to honour individuals and organizations contributing to the empowerment of people with disabilities. The Korean auto giant runs numerous philanthropic activities across the globe under its “Progress For Humanity” motto. The event organized by Hyundai included distinguished guests like Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Minister of Sports; Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment & Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship & Minister of State for Education.
“Samarth by Hyundai” Celebrates 1 Year
As per the official press release from Hyundai, it presented the “Charter of Recommendations for Enhancing Accessibility and Inclusivity” to the Government of India. Furthermore, it also announced the “Samarth Hero Awards” for successful people with disability from diverse fields and backgrounds. As a part of this initiative, Hyundai even felicitated 7 Paralympians for their outstanding achievements. Other strategic partnerships to empower people with disabilities incorporate:

The Korean auto giant has been active on social media and other forms of advertisement campaigns to raise awareness about this initiative. As a matter of fact, HMIL launched a 360-degree media campaign featuring Mr. Shah Rukh Khan as the ambassador for Samarth by Hyundai. To flood the advertising channels, Hyundai created 200 content assets including inspirational stories, reaching to over 300 million people across India in 2024. This celebrated the spirit of inclusivity and raised awareness around the challenges faced by people with disabilities in day-to-day life. I am certain that Hyundai will attain massive success with this program going forward too.
