Hyundai launches the IONIQ 5 electric crossover in India at the Auto Expo 2023. IONIQ 5 is a recipient of tons of prominent accolades in the international market for quite some time now. It had, however, eluded the Indian market all this while but all that is about to change now. The IONIQ 5 will rival the likes of the Kia EV6 in our market which has been doing pretty well. Both of these are based on Hyundai’s E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) architecture. Here are all the details of the popular EV.

Hyundai Launches IONIQ 5 – Specs
The IONIQ 5 comes with a 72.6 kWh battery pack that powers the electric motor to produce 160 kW (217 PS) and 350 Nm of peak power and torque. The ultra-fast 350 kW DC fast charging enables a 10-80% charging time of just 18 mins and the same level of charging can be done in 21 mins with the 150 kW DC fast charger (under ambient temperature – 25 degrees). It can use both 800V and 400V charging equipment and has the convenience of V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) with which the users can power external electronic appliances. The ARAI-certified range is a cool 631 km on a single charge. The ground clearance is a practical 163 mm (laden).

The feature list on the EV is quite extensive. It includes things like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-speaker premium Bose Audio System, ambient sounds of nature, Home-to-Car (H2C) with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant with Hindi and English commands, Bluelink Connected Car tech with over 60 features, 21 Level 2 ADAS functions, Wireless Smartphone charger, Hands-free powered tailgate operation, Memory Seat configuration for all seats, powered front seats with lumbar support, full glass roof, eco-friendly and sustainable materials for interior and upholstery, and more.

Price
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is priced from Rs 44.95 lakh, ex-showroom as introductory prices. Note that these will be valid for the first 500 customers.
