Hyundai Kona is got to get a rival in India, by the end of this year from the debutant, MG Motors. The MG eZS is confirmed for India for December 2019 as the second SUV from the British manufacturer.
It has now been launched in the global markets, for an introductory price of 24,955 Euros, which roughly converts to Rs 22 Lakhs in INR. That’s the actual expected price estimate of the eZS for the Indian market.
MG eZS will offer a driving range of 163 miles, or, 263 kms, as claimed by the company. The real-world range could come nearly up to 170 kms, which is actually not bad. But, Kona EV offers a much more range here.

eZS has already been spied testing in India. It will be a CKD unit and will be assembled at MG Motor’s plant in Halol, Gujarat. This is the same plant from where Chevrolet manufactured the Beat, Cruze and other cars for us.
On the outside, it looks identical to the fuel-powered MG ZS, but gets a different front grille and an EV badging on the side fenders. The charging port will be inside the front grille, under the MG logo.
Features onboard will include a touchscreen infotainment system with Hector’s i-Smart technology, voice recognition, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, satellite navigation, projector headlamps and much more.
