The first-ever crash of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India has been reported. Note that it is a premium electric car from the house of the Korean carmaker. It has been selling in decent numbers ever since it was first launched in India last year. It boasts prestigious accolades to its name including the famed World Car of the Year. This represents the zenith of what Hyundai Motor Company has to offer at the global scale at the moment. In the Euro NCAP, the Ioniq 5 scored an impressive 5-star safety rating. First Hyundai Ioniq 5 Crash
This latest video comes from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. It captures the visuals of the aftermath of the impact. As per the information in the video, this case emerges from Kerala. The host mentions that the EV slid off to the side of the road and ended up getting stuck in an open space. The front section of the EV is evidently damaged. The exact reason for this crash is not clear. Still, one can see that the airbags have been deployed. Apart from that, the other components are intact. There are no reports of anyone getting injured.

5-Star Euro NCAP Rating
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 was launched in the international market in 2021. At the time, it was sent to the Euro NCAP for safety test. Note that the Euro NCAP is one of the most stringent agencies in the world. It conducts extreme tests to reward safety ratings to cars. You would be happy to know that the Ioniq 5 scored a full 5-star safety rating. It scored 88% points in Adult Occupant Protection, 86% in Child Occupant Protection, 63% in Vulnerable Road Users and 88% in Safety Assist categories, respectively. These ratings are valid for all variants and Left-Hand Drive and Right-Hand Drive models.

The Ioniq 5 is the best in terms of what Hyundai has to offer. This is valid for powertrain options, styling, safety equipment, as well as the interior and features. It is one of the most advanced EVs in the world. That is why the initial batch was immensely popular in India. In comparison to its sibling, the Kia EV6 (Rs 60.95 lakh to Rs 65.95 lakh, ex-showroom), it is priced much more attractively in India at Rs 45.95 lakh, ex-showroom.
