Hyundai is an amazing brand with good cars and the new upcoming model are far more advanced in terms of design and performance. Recently at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Hyundai showcased its new car with a wagon body styling, Hyundai i40. Interestingly now the brand plans to present another i40 but with a sedan type body styling at the Barcelona Motor Show on 12th of May.
The car is going to be a premium mid-sizer and will give BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E CLass a good for their money as it is aimed at offering all those features that the above two cars offer importantly at a cheaper price.
Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre commented, “We wanted to move away from the typical three-box saloon and create a car that was in keeping with the sporty nature of the i40 estate. By sculpting a low, elongated roof line, we’ve given the i40 saloon a striking coupe-like silhouette by using very strong, fluid lines from front to rear. While the exterior of i40 saloon stands out for its fluidic form and distinctive appearance, the interior has been shaped to deliver practicality and comfort to the driver and passengers in a high-quality package”
The technical specifications are still to be confirmed by the firm but we believe that technically the car will be at par with the i40 estate whose specifications are as follows.
