The Hyundai i20 N Line has successfully rekindled the interest in hot hatches, especially since the discontinuation of the VW Polo GT TSI. The hot hatch version of the premium hatchback impresses on many counts, but it hasn’t completely satisfied the enthusiasts. However, the situation is about to change as there are strong chances of the i20 N Line getting a proper manual gearbox. The MT option will launch with the mid-cycle facelift.

Hyundai i20 N Line Manual Variant
As per our sources, the i20 is due for a facelift by the end of the year. It’s being said that the i20 facelift shall finally bring the awaited 6-speed Manual gearbox with the 1.0 TGDI engine for the N-line version. This 6-speed manual gearbox will be the same as the one available on the pre-facelift Hyundai Venue 1.0 TGDI. With an engine that puts out 120 BHP and 172 Nm, the 6-speed manual unit should up the fun quotient.
The Hyundai i20 facelift will retain the current model’s overall design but with some minor updates to the styling package. Changes in the bumper design and alloy wheel design are expected, along with the introduction of a new front grille. Moreover, there’s a possibility that design elements from the European version of the i20 facelift would make it to the India-spec model.

Features
The Hyundai i20 and i20 N line facelifts will offer all the features of the pre facelift. The 10.25-inch infotainment unit could get additional features. In addition to this, a new gauge cluster like the one used in the Venue and Verna could make its way to the i20 range . Also there are chances that ADAS tech would make it to the hot hatch.

Hyundai i20 N Line Manual Pricing and Competitors
The upcoming i20 facelift alongside the N line Manual will be priced slightly more than the current car. While the current versions retail from Rs 7.19-12.31 Lakh (Ex-Showroom), the facelift could be priced from Rs 7.50 lakhs to 12.70 lakh rupees (Ex-Showroom). The only real competition for the i20 N-Line Manual variant will be from the Altroz Racer.
