The official unveiling date, along with all the other details of the Hyundai i20 N Line is August 24, 2021. The performance-oriented version of the popular premium hatchback is set to be the newest entry into the hot-hatch segment in our market. Hyundai has already officially teased the arrival of the N Line versions of its other products in India as well. This will definitely bring some freshness to its portfolio with driver-oriented versions of its popular cars. To get things rolling, i20 will be the first car to test the market and how open the customers are to this niche trend.

Hyundai i20 N Line – Specs
The main point of difference between the regular and N Line variant of the Hyundai i20 will be mechanical. But also, it will differentiate itself from its less aggressive sibling with some key changes on the outside. This will include N line badges across the body, a dedicated paint scheme, a modified front grille, chrome exhaust. There might be redesigned bumpers and alloy wheels as well. However, the changes to the mechanical components are relatively substantial. The key is to ensure an immersive driving experience. For that, Hyundai will update the suspension setup for better stability and driving dynamics, steering calibration to match the powerful engine. The aim is to carve out a niche in this growing market.

Interiors and Features
There will be some crucial changes on the inside as well. Compared to the regular i20, the cabin will wear red stitching and inserts at various places. The all-black interiors and upholstery will sport red stitching and N Line badging on the seats, seatbelts and various other places. The features list will be extensive with things like a Digital Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth Connectivity, Connected Car Tech, Digital Instrument Cluster, Automatic Climate Control, Multi-Purpose Steering Wheel with Controls and much more.

The Hyundai i20 N Line will have the 1.0-litre direct injection turbocharged (GDi) engine at its heart. This powerful engine will make 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This will likely be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed quick-shifting DCT transmission. Reportedly, the Hyundai i20 N Line will command a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the top-trim regular i20 currently on sale. This means that the expected price of the i20 N Line will be somewhere in the vicinity of Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom.
