Hyundai has refreshed almost all the top seller in its lineup in India in past some time. The highest selling Hyundai i10 from Hyundai’s stable got new and refreshing look. The stunning new Hyundai Verna Fluidic is also one of the latest facelifts from Hyundai India. In past sometime, Hyundai i20 has been doing good sales for Hyundai India in premium hatchback segment and it has not been face-lifted for a long time now. The facelift introduces last year in 2010 was a significant but not major one.
Our friends at Motorbeam have reported that the face lifted Hyundai i20 2012 new model is likely to launch by the Diwali festival season, which is around October 2011. The expected facelifts are introduction of some fluidic sculpture curves in the Hyundai i20 2012, a new grille design, a refreshed headlamp and tail lamp design is also on the cars. The design of alloy wheels is also very likely to get some cosmetic upgrades. We expect to see some facelifts on the front and rear bumper of the i20 2012 as well. The design of grille, headlamps and fog lamps together give an important front fascia of the car which is very pleasing in the Hyundai i10 Newgen, so we expect a pleasing fascia of the new i20 too.
The interiors are also expected to see some re-touching and improvements based on the past customer feedbacks and new design trends. There may not be engine changes, however some re-tuning of the engine can not be ruled out.
