The spyshots of the 2014 Hyundai i10 have already started doing rounds and the current generation i10 will soon go out of production. But till the time the next generation i10 makes it debut after extensive testing all around the world, Hyundai needs to get the sales of its bestseller going pretty well so as to have a momentum when the next gen i10 comes in. And to keep the buzz going, Hyundai has just launched a special edition of the i10 which the company is touting as the iTech Special Edition.
What Is New In Hyundai i10 iTech Special Edition?
The iTech Special Edition is a cosmetic upgrade and the i10 will come with a host of visual changes with additions to the feature list. And this special edition also marks the sales of 6 million units of the i10 globally. Crystal White and Garnet Red are the two colours that the car will come in with iTech body graphics being present on the flanks of the car. The seat covers of the car now become red and beige in colour which we believe would look well in the red colour of the car.
The dashboard of the car and the AC vents coupled with door trims get red accents. You get steering mounted Bluetooth controls and the rear view mirror will now have an integration with the rear parking camera. The Special Edition of the car does not see any mechanical changes and the car will come in the same 1.1 litre and 1.2 litre petrol motors that power the regular i10. Hyundai sells the i10 globally with a 1.1 litre turbo-diesel engine which will make its way to the 2014 i10 as well when it reaches Indian shores.
The 2014 i10 will do a touchdown on Indian grounds around the festival season of Diwali. Some reports also suggest that the 2014 i10 will sit above the current i10 and below the i20 which we think might just result in cannibalization of sales of both the cars. - Hyundai i10 iTech Magna 1.2 Garnet Red is priced at Rs. 4.61 Lakhs
The price premium you pay on the special edition compared to corresponding standard variants is around Rs. 16,000.
