Hyundai has been readying its 800 CC small car Hyundai HA aka Hyundai 800 right from concept to a ready vehicle for past two years or so. With numerous R&D hours and brains behind the development of the Hyundai HA, the car is quite close to its official launch before Diwali. The Hyundai HA is expected to go on production in September 2011 and an official launch is expected in early October 2011. The launch date has not been finalized at this moment. The Hyundai HA will be a small car placed below Hyundai Santro price segment and will be powered by a small and fuel efficient 800 CC Engine. The fit and finish of the Hyundai 800 is excepted to be as good as Hyundai i10 with some cut on the gadgetry.

As per a recent report by IAB, a lot of the features have been revealed. Some of the prominent points to notice include the beige interiors with two tone dashboard on the top variant. The Hyundai HA will have Air-conditioning and power steering too. With these features and a 800 CC Engine, the HA will fall directly in the Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark’s territory.
The material quality of the Hyundai HA will be better than the competitors and unlike Spark and Nano, the instrument cluster will be behind the wheel with three dials, somewhat similar to Hyundai i10 Era (with Center Speedometer, fuel and temperature gauge on either side).
The audio system on Hyundai HA will support CD, MP3 and USB input with silver gray finish V-Shaped console. The front windows get electrical power windows and rear ones are manual. AC knobs are i20 style dial type. Two wipers on the windshield unlike Nano, electric power steering like Hyundai i10 and the steering wheel will also look like the i10. The HA will be based on the latest fluidic language, so expect smoothly rounded corners and no sharp edges i n the design language.
Apart from all these features, Hyundai knows the art of making refined and fuel efficient engines, so the same is expected on this small and lightweight HA. We don’t have any official figures with us, but we can speculate that with a 800 CC engine, Hyundai can easily tune it for a 20+ KMPL mileage on per litre of petrol retaining the peppy Hyundai acceleration. We are eagerly waiting to see how Hyundai HA changes the small car market dynamics.
