The sales chart of Hyundai cars are rising and we wait for the Elantra facelift to see if the sedan proves out to be a success like the Kona, Venue and Grand i10 Nios.
With the auto industry going down and car manufacturer facing losses, Hyundai shines bright with its new products. Hyundai first launched the first electric SUV Kona than the subcompact SUV, Venue and then the premium hatchback, Grand i10 Nios. Now, recent reports have come that Hyundai Grand i10 has beaten the Venue sales for August 2019.
Hyundai hasn’t really broken down the sales of Grand i10 and Nios differently but combined both the units sold 9,043 units beating the Venue which only sold 9,342 units in August.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was launched on Aug 20 and the hatchback offers the same set of engines available in the Grand i10. Also, the latter now only comes with a petrol engine and a CNG option. What’s new is the replacement of torque converter automatic transmission with AMT gearbox in the petrol engine. Also, the diesel engine sees an AMT gearbox which was not found earlier.

The Grand i10 Nios also packs more features like the larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. It also gets projector headlamps and sees boomerang LED DRLs on the grille up front.
It gets standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high speed alert system, seat belt reminders as standard across all trims. The hatchback also gets a reverse parking camera as a convenience feature.

Talking about the Hyundai Venue then the sub-4-metre compact SUV gained an overwhelming response in the Indian. The Venue is the first connected SUV in India which comes with BlueLink technology.
The SUV also broke the sales of Maruti Suzuki Brezza and hopped on the first list of best selling compact SUVs in its segment. Hyundai further plans to introduce Elantra facelift on October 3 with a sole petrol engine only. It will be BS6 compliant and we expect it to turn up Hyundai’s sales like its every other product.
