Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will get 5-speed MT as well as the option of AMT gearbox for both petrol and diesel engine. You can book the car at a token amount of Rs 11,000!
Recently we showed you the pictures of the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and now a new piece of information about the variants of the car has been leaked. The hatchback will be launched on August 20 and bookings for the same have started at a price point of Rs 11,000. One can book the car via dealerships or online.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be available in a total of 10 variants ranging from base trim Era to top-spec Asta trim. Transmission option will include a 5-speed MT or an AMT gearbox for both petrol and diesel engines. Both the 1.2L engines will be BS6 compliant and will miss out on the AMT gearbox for top models.
Talking about the 1.2-litre petrol motor first which will generate 81 bhp with 114 Nm of peak torque. This engine will come with Era, Magna Sportz and Asta Trim. The Era which will be the base model will see a limited amount of features and will only get a 5-speed MT.

Moving over to the mid-spec Magna and Sportz trim, they will get the option of an AMT gearbox. Also, the latter will see a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features.
Also, an option of dual-tone exterior paint scheme can be availed as an option for the Sportz trim. The top-spec Asta trim will only see the availability of a 5-speed MT. It will be this trim which will be loaded with features upto the brim.
Now talking about the diesel engine, the 1.2-litre turbocharged motor punches out 74 bhp along with 190 Nm of peak torque. Variant wise, this engine will only see Magna, Sportz and Asta trim and will cut out the Era trim.

For those looking for an AMT diesel model of this car will have to look out at the Sports trim as the base trim Magna doesn’t come with it. The top-spec Asta too will be made available with 5-speed manual gearbox.
The pricing for the same has not been announced yet but it will be more premium than the Grand i10 in terms of pricing. It will see an expected range from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.0 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
