According to the price list of the new Grand i10, the base Era variant is now cheaper. The mid level Magna and Sportz trims of the Grand i10 now cost a little more. Thanks to the addition of features, the top end Asta trim costs around Rs. 30,000 more than the older car. Hyundai has added a new Sportz (O) variant and renamed Asta (O) as Asta. Also, the petrol automatic variants of the Grand i10 are no longer be available in the top-end Asta trim.

Hyundai Grand i10 Old vs New Model- Exterior Comparison
Designers have made some modifications to the nose of the car. The facelift features a new ‘cascading’ grille design and a new bumper. Foglamp enclosures are new as well. Top end Asta trim also features LED daytime running lights. When viewed from the side, there is not much that sets the old and new models apart. There is an all new alloy wheel design on offer.
At the back, the Grand i10 facelift gets a new bumper. It features a massive black insert that houses the number plate and the new circular reflector units/fog lamps. Other than that, there aren’t any other changes. New exterior features include

- New 14 inch diamond cut alloys

Hyundai Grand i10 Old vs New Model- Interior Comparison
The cabin of the new Grand i10 does not feature any major updates. It boasts the same design as the outgoing model. The only additions are in the form of new features. The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift comes with a 7 inch touchscreen AVN and automatic climate control. The second from top Sportz and Sportz (O) trims get a 5 inch touchscreen. Apart from that, there won’t be any changes. The new model gets the same high quality cabin that we have come to expect from all Hyundai products.

The 1.2 L petrol engine has been carried over. This unit makes 81 BHP and 114 Nm and comes with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. However, the diesel engine is a new 1.2 L unit. It puts out a max power of 75 PS and a peak torque of 190 Nm. The 1.1 Diesel that powered the older model made 70 BHP and 160 Nm. Diesel Grand i10 gets only a 5-speed manual transmission.

The launch of the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift adds some much needed features to the car’s equipment list. It also helps freshen things up.
- Design – The new model looks sportier. There is a new grille along with new front and rear bumpers on offer. New Grand i10 also gets LED DRLs.
- Features – There are a handful of new additions to the features list including a new touchscreen AVN and automatic climate control.
- Specifications – Hyundai has replaced the 1.1 L diesel with a new 1.2 L engine. The petrol engine remains the same.
- Price – While the base variant is now cheaper, the top end variant costs more thanks to extra features.
