Hyundai will be launching the Grand i10 Nios Turbo at the end of this month and its only available on the Sportz trim for a price of Rs 7.68 lakhs. The dual-tone variant has been priced at Rs 7.73 lakhs.
Hyundai will be launching the Grand i10 Nios with a turbo-petrol engine very soon at the end of this month. Hyundai has already revealed the price of the Grand i10 Nios Turbo and it starts off from Rs 7.68 lakhs, ex-showroom. The Nios Turbo will also be available with a dual-tone paint scheme and this variant gets a price of Rs 7.73 lakhs, ex-showroom. Bookings have already begun at most dealerships.The turbo-petrol engine will only be offered on the Sportz trim of the Grand i10 Nios.
Sadly, the Grand i10 Nios Turbo will not be available on the top-spec Asta variant. That means that you will miss out on several features that’s offered on this top-spec trim. That includes features like leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, push button start, adjustable rear headrests, a rear wash and wiper as well as a lamp in the boot. On the upside, the Nios Turbo gets an all-black interior color scheme and there are new red accents around the AC vents, gear lever and steering wheel.
Still, the Nios Turbo Sportz has a pretty decent equipment list and you will features like a touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, keyless entry, projector headlamps with DRLs and a cooled glovebox. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera.
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios also has some visual differences to set it apart from the regular Grand i20 Nios. Firstly, there are the Turbo badges on the front grille and on the boot lid as well. The Nios Turbo gets a slightly revised bumper which has been carried forward from the Aura Turbo, sans the twin boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The grille also gets an all-black finish for a sportier look.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is powered by a BS6 complaint 1.0 liter three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 100bhp and 172Nm of peal torque. Its the same engine that is used in the Aura Turbo as well. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as usual but has different ratios than the non-turbo i10. The final drive ratio is much shorter and could translate to a higher top speed.

At this price point, the Nios Turbo costs Rs 1.25 lakh more than the Nios 1.2 petrol in the same variant, and Rs 49,000 more than the range-topping Nios 1.2 petrol Asta trim. The Grand i10 Nios Turbo has only one competitor against it and that’s the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI which is only other hot-hatch in sale in India. The Tata Tiago JTP and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS have been discontinued due to BS6 norms.
