Hyundai to bring in the Grand i10 Nios with a factory-fitted CNG kit soon. It has started reaching dealerships and the bookings have also commenced.
Manufacturers have started considering CNG cars in their lineup because of their increasing demand. As of now, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Ford are the only manufacturers that offer factory-fitting CNG kits with their cars.
After launching the Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai decided to offer CNG on the regular Grand i10. Most of the variants of the latter were discontinued and will soon be fully replaced by the Nios. Now, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG in incoming very soon.
Reports suggest that Hyundai has commenced unofficial bookings for the Grand i10 Nios CNG at their dealerships. The CNG units have also started reaching showrooms. Nios CNG will come in Magna and Sportz variant only.

The CNG variants will come paired with the 1.2 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The power figures for the CNG will be detuned. Currently, the engine produces 83 BHP and 114 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed gearbox will come as standard fitment.
Grand i10 Nios CNG will further demand around Rs 80,000 more than their petrol versions. As for the Magna Petrol MT, it goes for Rs 5.85 Lakhs and the Sportz MT goes for Rs 6.38 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi prices).
i10 Nios is a more premium and bigger than the regular i10. It gets more features such as wireless charging and a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. Also, it comes with Hyundai’s new 5-speed AMT gearbox along with BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines.

At the 2020 Auto Expo, Hyundai will introduce the “N” line Grand i10 Nios. It will get a 1.0 Litre turbo petrol engine that will produce 100 BHP. The styling will be different in comparison to the regular Nios including revised bumpers, new alloy wheels and all-black interiors.
