The hatchback will be launched on August 20 and this time it will come in diesel automatic trim too. However, the hatchback will ditch the torque converter unit for AMT gearbox that will be seen on both the engines.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is another hatchback which the South Korean manufacturer is bringing and the car will be launched on August 20. The bookings for the same has started at a token amount of Rs 11,000.
Just days before of its launch, a video revealing the exteriors, interiors of the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is surfacing the internet. The car will be available in both petrol and diesel engine which will be BS6 compliant.
Talking about the exteriors, the hatchback receives new alloy wheels, projector headlight setup, revised bumpers, a large cascading grille, LED DRLs positioned at the edge of the grille, large window line and among others.

It’s the interiors which also receive a new dual tone shade along with automatic climate control. The hatchback also gets circular AC vents which have been borrowed from the Santro. The large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with a new dashboard design can be seen. Hyundai might bring the BlueLink connectivity with the Nios.
The Nios will be available in 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine generates 81 bhp with 114 Nm of torque while that the 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine churns out 74 bhp with 190 Nm of peak torque.
Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox along with 5-speed AMT. The petrol automatic will be made available only in the Magna and Sportz trim while the diesel AMT only in the Sportz trim.

The upcoming hatchback will deliver a 20.7 kmpl for the petrol manual and 20.5 kmpl for the AMT. The certified oil burner mileage sticks to 26.2 kmpl and that for an automatic will be 28.4 kmpl.
The pricing for the same has not been announced yet but it will be more premium than the Grand i10. It will see an expected range from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.0 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
