The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets projector headlamp set up, shark fin antenna, glossy black radiator grille with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and projector fog lamp as features.
The cabin inside is equipped with wireless charging (which is a first in its segment), automatic climate control with eco coating technology, rear AC vents with power outlets, a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety onboard includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), front seat belt reminder, high speed alert system, rear parking sensors and it also gets rear view parking camera as a convenience feature.
Under the hood, the Grand i10 Nios is expected to continue with the same engines as is found in the regular Grand i10 but now will be BS6 compliant. That means it will get the 1.2L petrol and diesel engines. Both engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and there will also be the option of the 5-speed AMT found in the Santro.
The naturally aspirated petrol motor produces 81 bhp with a peak torque of 114 Nm while the 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine churns out 74 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Mind you, the AMT gearbox is not available on the top spec Asta trim.
