Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) crossed the 50,000 sales mark in September 2023 to emerge ahead of Tata Motors.
Hyundai Exter has contributed immensely to the massive sales of the Korean auto giant. We are referring particularly to the Exter because it is the latest model in the portfolio of Hyundai in India. After the discontinuation of the iconic Santro, the Exter serves as the micro SUV that rivals the Tata Punch. That has resulted in huge sales in the very first month of its launch in our market. Going forward, things are looking positive. Let us take a look at the details here.

What We Think
We are thrilled about the growth of the Indian automobile industry. With the festive season arriving, there will be huge demand for new cars in our country. Every year, this window from September to December witnesses a huge rise in new car sales. This is especially true after the long issues of the industry regarding the semiconductor chip shortage. Finally, the production is in full swing and the carmakers are rejoicing in this atmosphere. Let us keep an eye out for the sales of Hyundai and Tata Motors which are competing for that second spot quite vehemently.
