Hyundai Motors India Limited has gauged that they need to provide something more in the Hyundai Eon to make it compete better with the king of small car segment, the Maruti Alto. To make the offering more lucrative and attract more buyers from Alto, Hyundai has added new more value-for-money variants with better feature combinations and option of LPG for the new variants. The Alto comes with factory fitted CNG option while the Eon was launched in petrol only, with the option of LPG, it will also attract some of the buyers away from the Alto CNG as the Petrol is gradually becoming a precious-liquid in India. With Petrol prices close to Rs. 70 per litre in most states, LPG option does offer some respite whoever it is available, also the high mileage of Eon helps to deliver a good low running cost on LPG fuel. Hyundai EON LPG Blue Drive will come at an additional price of Rs. 27,000 and will come with a 34 Litre LPG tank and comes with 2 years standard warranty.

Hyundai Eon New Variants and Specifications In India
The all new variants of Hyundai Eon are – D-Lite + (or D-Lite Plus), Era + (or Era Plus) and Magna + (Magna Plus). All the variants continue to be powered by the same 814 CC MPFI Petrol Engine with 55.2 BHP of peak power and 75 Nm of torque. The ARAI certified mileage of the Eon is 21.1 KMPL. The LPG variant that forms part of Hyundai’s Blue Drive (eco-friendly) range comes with factory-fitted separate petrol (32 litres) and LPG (34 litres) tanks that guarantees enhanced safety to customers with a two-year warranty. The special ‘Toroidal’ tank gives larger boot space than conventional LPG-fitted models. The Eon runs over 1,200 kilometres on a full tank of LPG and petrol.
