Ever since the launch of Hyundai Santro in India, Hyundai Eon has been the only car to draw so much of attention and the credit has to be give to its extremely competitive pricing and beautiful looks. The latest word regarding Eon says that it is going to be launched in neighboring country Nepal in January 2012.
Good news for the Nepali market since presently Hyundai, through its authorized distributor Laxmi Intercontinental, sells Santro and Santro Xing only and this will be the next perfect model for the market. As expected the car will be exported to Nepal in the form of CBU(Completely Built Unit) along with the made-in-India tag.

One disappointing news for the Nepali market is that instead of 6 different variants sold here in India, only 3 will be made available there. So we could expect a base variant, a mid level and a top variant.
The Santro Xing is a more upmarket option by comparison to Eon and therefore the latter will be priced below the Xing. As per speculations and calculations the car is said to be priced at approximately 15 Lakh Nepali rupees(9.42 Lakh INR). This would be nearly 2 Lakh Nepali rupees cheaper than the Xing sold at 17 Lakh Nepali rupees.
The price is nearly three times of its official price in India but despite the fact the distributor is confident about the car’s success in the new market.
