The ADAS offers a whole host of functions like a Lane watch camera, forward collision warning, Lane departure warning, driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, rear Cross traffic assist, Lane keep assist, blindspot monitoring and more. There is no reason why the Creta won’t get all these features if it wants to stay at the top of the competition in this mid-size SUV segment. And if we see all these changes made to the Creta, it will definitely be much safer than the existing model.
Reinforced Safety Structure
Other than getting a plethora of additional safety equipment, the Creta facelift could even get a reinforced body shell. This is something that will go on to play a vital role in making the SUV safer. Also, it will be in line with what we’ve seen on the latest Seltos. As seen below, the Seltos now receives various improvements in its body-shell to make the structure stronger. This has been done by strengthening key parts of the body structure. As a result, the occupant compartment is stronger than before. This, alone, can make the car a lot safer in an event of a crash.

What We Think
In this day and age, ADAS features are becoming more common in lower segments of the industry as well. The mid-size SUV segment is one where such features are almost expected from all the new launches. Since Creta has been the segment leader for the longest time, it makes sense to equip it with all these latest features to ensure that it remains ahead of the competition. In fact, a reinforced structure is something that is sure to enhance the safety quotient of this SUV. We shall have to wait for the Korean auto giant to launch the facelift model of the mid-size SUV to know all the details for sure.
