Saddened over not being able to marry the girl of his choice, a Hyundai Creta owner drove into a stationary truck at 140 km/h near Greater Noida
A 25-year-old died after he drove his Hyundai Creta into a stationary truck at a speed of over 140 km/h. The mishap took place in Surajpur, off Great Noida. It’s said that the SUV owner purposefully drove into the truck after he had a heated argument with his family. Allegedly, he was being stopped by his family from marrying the girl of his choice.

Resident of Dadri in Greater Noida
The deceased, who has been identified as Sumit Pal, was a native of Aurangabad in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. He lived in Dadri in Great Noida. The accident took place in the wee hours of Thursday. The police was alerted about the accident after a passer-by saw the Creta stuck under the truck.
Speaking on the incident, Awdesh Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO), Surajpur Police Station, said,“We received a call at around 7:30am about an accident on the 130-metre road near Khodna Khurd cut under Surajpur police station area. A team rushed to the spot and found a Hyundai Creta car crushed underneath a truck. The entire front portion of the car was damaged and the deceased was entangled between the two vehicles.”

Police Takes Over 30 Minutes to Extract Deceased’s Body
SHO Awdesh Kumar mentioned that the police team who rushed to the spot had to use gas cutters to retrieve the dead body from the mangled remains of the vehicle. It took them over 30 minutes to conduct the operation. “After a lot of efforts, the man was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. During investigation, it was found that Pal had a scuffle with his family members and was unhappy over some personal issues. He drove away from the house early in the morning without informing anyone. The truck was parked on the roadside and his overspeeding car rammed it,” Kumar added. The deceased’s body was handed over to the family.
