Creta, in its ICE guise, is the most successful mid-size SUV in the country. It has consistently fared well on the sales charts for years now. The Korean auto giant now wants to leverage its success and fame to come up with an electric version to bolster its EV portfolio. Here are the details.

We are able to come across this video courtesy of Drrive Expo on YouTube. The visuals capture the heavily camouflaged Hyundai Creta Electric plying on a busy highway. Someone driving in the adjacent lane ended up making a video of it. The front, side and rear profiles are visible. We know that the design elements are heavily inspired by the ICE Creta including the front and rear sections like the bumper, headlamps and taillamps. On the sides, it gets specific dual-tone aero alloy wheels and a familiar silhouette. We also know how it will look since Hyundai has showcased it to the media.

The Creta Electric will borrow most of these features from the regular Creta. The main highlights include dual displays – one for the driverโs instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system, ventilated front seats, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with functions like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking and much more.
