The electric iteration of the popular mid-size SUV is about to launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
We conducted the 0-100 km/h acceleration test of the Hyundai Creta Electric recently. The Korean auto giant is aiming to leverage the insane popularity of the Creta moniker in our market. As a consequence, it has introduced its electric iteration with minimal exterior modifications but extensive interior customizations. We know that the EV market is expanding rapidly. There are new models on sale frequently. Hence, it makes sense to have many products in the portfolio to grab a huge chunk of this burgeoning market segment. For now, let us take a look at the details of the electric Creta.
Hyundai Creta Electric 0-100 km/h Acceleration Test
As a part of the media drive, we were able to get the opportunity to test the performance of the Hyundai Creta Electric. During this time, we decided to put the EV through its paces and perform a hard acceleration test. We managed to hit 60 km/h from a standstill in a mere 4.15 seconds, 80 km/h in 6.08 seconds, 100 km/h in 8.13 seconds and 120 km/h in 11.10 seconds. That represents the steady acceleration throughout the entire range. That is an inherent trait of electric powertrains due to constant torque delivery right from the moment the driver taps the accelerator. A real-world 8-sec time to reach 100 km/h is quite impressive.
The Hyundai Creta Electric is not merely a converted version of the ICE model. In fact, the Korean auto giant has done a commendable job of updating the interior to suit the modern needs and expectations of new buyers. As a consequence, there are tons of enhancements inside the cabin. The top amenities include:

In terms of maximum power, the numbers range from 135 PS to 171 PS. The claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time in the most powerful settings is 7.9 seconds. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be juiced up from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. On the other hand, using an 11 kW AC wall box charger,ย it takes 4 hours to go from 10% to 100%. The Active Aero Flaps enhance the aerodynamics for better efficiency and range. More details will surface at the launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
