Hyundai Creta E (Base) vs EX (Second Base) Variant Comparison
This video comes from Kataria Garage on YouTube. The YouTuber has the two models with him side-by-side. There are not many differences between the two models from the outside. At the front, both get halogen projector headlamps with LED positioning lamps, a broad grille with black material, a chrome strip between the two headlights and a sporty bumper. On the sides, there are no changes as both get 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. At the rear, both of them get the LED taillamp and a similar bumper. The only difference lies in the availability of the shark fin antenna on the EX model.

Interior and Features
On the inside, the changes are significant. As soon as you enter the cabin of the EX trim, you get to witness an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. Note that the base E model doesn’t get any display or audio system. There are 4 speakers for the music system on the EX variant. Apart from that, it also gets steering-mounted controls for multimedia and more. There is also the availability of a sunglass holder and front cabin lighting in the EX model, which is missing in the base E trim. Finally, the drivers would benefit from the convenience of electrically operated ORVMs in the EX model. It is absent in the E trim. All in all, the entertainment and convenience needs are taken care of to a better extent in the second base model.

Author’s Note
If you are on a strict budget and don’t fancy convenience features, going for the base E model makes sense. You get all the standard safety features and a smooth engine. However, if you can stretch your budget a little and want some basic convenience and entertainment amenities, spending Rs 1.18 lakh more on the EX variant is not a bad idea either. In essence, a choice between these two trims depends on your preference and budget.
