Hyundai cars will see a price hike of up to Rs 35,000 from October onwards. The second-largest carmaker in the country has not applied to many car hikes compared to various other carmakers. Some OEMs have issued price hikes multiple times in 2021 itself. Generally, the car companies have to levy price increase to offset the rise in input costs around the beginning of every year. This includes the cost of raw materials among other things. However, these costs keep on rising throughout the year as well which forces the car manufacturers to keep rising the cost of their vehicles regularly. Here is a letter issued by a Hyundai dealership to one of its customers urging a quick delivery before the price hike.

Hyundai Cars Price Hike
According to this letter, the dealership personnel warns the customers of a potential price hike in the range of Rs 35,000 from next month onwards. You as customers can also save a ton of money if you book your next Hyundai vehicle before the price hike. The details of the exact amounts are not clear yet. But the maximum amount could be quite high. Also, the rise in prices are corresponding to the vehicles and variants. Hence, the increase could well be from around Rs 5,000 to Rs 35,000. Almost all Hyundai cars will get affected by this price hike.

Hyundai has cars in almost every segment of our market. The entry-level product includes the Santro and Grand i10 Nios, the premium hatchback segment has the iconic i20, the compact SUV segment comprises of the Venue, Creta is the highest-selling SUV in the country in the mid-size SUV segment. Hyundai is active in executive sedans segment s as well with its popular Verna and Aura. Then there are relatively niche products like the Elantra, Tucson and Kona Electric SUV. The hot-hatch segment has been freshened up by the introduction of the i20 N Line. It will be interesting to see if the electric SUV is affected by this price hike or not.
