Judging by the amount of new SUV coming to the Indian market, it seems like its monsoon season for the vehicle on stills. The South Korean manufacturer Hyundai is prepping up its own fair share of SUV to be launched in the Indian market. Hyundai Carlino Launch Price
The upcoming 2019 Hyundai Carlino is expected to be launched in the initial quarter of 2019. Hyundai’s Creta and upcoming Kona both stretch over 4 meters in length while the Carlino, codenamed QXi, is the only compact SUV from Hyundai to restrict its length to under 4 meters. The restricted length, as well as frugal engines, should alloy Hyundai to price the upcoming mini SUV even under the Kona range. We expect Hyundai to price the 2019 Carlino between INR 7 lakh to INR 11 lakh.
Hyundai Carlino Specifications
Certain media reports claim that the upcoming 2019 Hyundai Carlino will be powered by a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol unit is expected to be a 1.0-litre T-GDI turbocharged engine which will be a brand new engine developed for markets like India. The 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine which otherwise powers the Elite i20 and the Creta will be the second engine option for the upcoming mini SUV. Hyundai mentioned the introduction of AMT technology next year and we expect the 2019 Carlino could be the first recipient of the low-cost automatic gearbox.
The upcoming 2019 Hyundai Carlino will have strong appeal with flared wheel arches and true to an SUV boxy design. According to reports on the web, the upcoming compact SUV’s 60% R&D will come from India. The report also claimed that the Compact SUV will look ‘significantly’ different from the Carlino aka HND-14 concept.
